WOW does this Whisky have a story to tell - Introducing the 'BRUM' Casks.
Adams Distillery likes to experiment & ignore a lot of the traditional ways to do things. This Whisky’s life has been lived in that fashion. 3 years ago, Adam & Adam were offered & bought some French Oak Virgin 20L Casks. While pondering what to age in them a happy accident occurred. Adams distillery were given a gift of BRUM or RANDY, whichever works for you. It was an accidental mixing of equal parts Lark Rum and Lark Brandy. As this could not be sold, Adam & Adam, along with the helpful suggestions from Mr Duckett of Heartwood fame decided to season these two new casks for 6 to 12 months with the RANDY BRUM, then fill them with lightly peated whisky using peated barley from New Zealand.
The Adam’s have found the sweet spot at 53%, and what a sweet spot it is. Chocolate fudge, oak, fresh forest earthy tones and some peppery fire. Hints of vanilla and sweet honey. This whisky is long, fat & oily, like a thick meaty lamb stew on a winter’s day. There are only 50 bottles and only 40 are available for sale.
Virgin Oak, Seasoned with Lark Rum & Lark Brandy, New Zealand Peat and made by a Builder and a Paramedic very early on in their Distilling careers. Blessed by the Whisky Pope himself; this is a one off miracle child of a Whisky.
